HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY - CARD

Happy Monday everybody!!  I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing weekend full of crafting.

For those of you that have followed my blog for a little while, you know how much I hate trying to create boy/masculine cards....hate with a passion!!  No sparkle, no bling and well, they just aren't as cute in my opinion.  However, I am really happy with how this birthday card turned out.  How cute is this digi image from BUGABOO?!!!  I just loved coloring him in and I think he will work well for a toddler's birthday card, don't you?  The sentiment is from LAWN FAWN, a newly discovered company to me.  Love all of their stuff...LOVE!

Thanks for stopping by and as always I am looking forward to checking out every one's blogs to see what you all have been up to.

  2. This is so perfect for a little fellows card. So beautifully coloured.
I am just strting to print and colour digis. Do you have any tips.
I used my neighbours laser printer but still had a bit of ink bleed when I applied my lightest colours. Just the slightest bit of greying of the shade.
Perhaps I should have ironed it or heat set it with my heat gun...

    Great masculine card.

    1. I used to have tons of ink bleed problems with my older ink jet printer. It got a little better after I took my heat gun to the image, but I would still have a bit of smearing. I also used to let my images sit for a day or do before coloring. That seemed to help also. Since we got a laser printer I have had zero problems. Maybe try heat setting. I hope that helps. Digis are so versatile as far as resizing them as needed. Good luck!!

  5. I think you did a fabulous job creating this "guy" card. I too find it a bit challenging. I prefer "cutsey." LOL. Have a great week.

You idea of making a couple tags a week is such a GREAT idea. I think I am gonna try that as well. Can you imagine how good it will feel come Nov/Dec when we are scrambling trying to get everything done?! Love this idea! TFS!
    Have a great day!
