FOREVER & ALWAYS - CARD

Now that Valentine's Day is over I can share with you all the card I made for my dear husband.  How cute is this image?!?!  I swear this image is hubby and I exactly, which is why I was drawn to this stamp from Stampendous the moment I saw it at Hobby Lobby.  Oh and did you notice the smoochie lip buttons???  I love love love them and really had to scale back the number of them that I wanted to include on this card.

I hope everyone is enjoying their week thus far.  We are currently in the process of painting the interior of our home.  Which is a HUGE pain due to the vaulted ceilings.....and the fact I hate painting.  I will have to share pics next week once we're done.

LOVE - CARD

I hope everyone is enjoying their week.  As you read this the family and I are enjoying our vacation at California Adventures in Disneyland.  Our favorite ride is the California Screamin' roller coaster.  You start off at a complete stand still, they count you down for the blast off and then you literally shoot off like a rocket.  You have to be careful to keep your head back or you can get some serious whiplash upon takeoff.  I LOVE that ride!!

The card I am sharing with you today is a Valentine's card that I made for my youngest daughter, Caitlin.  The patterned paper is from my scrap stash and the sentiment is a rub-on.

I hope everyone is enjoying their quiet Thursday....I'm sure to be screaming my head off like I am being chased by zombies as I am riding California Screamin'!!  ;)

FOREVER & ALWAYS - CARD

I know Valentine's Day is over and done with, however I have three more cards to share with you that I could not post earlier so that my husband and daughters would not see them prior to me giving them out on Valentine's.

Today, I am sharing my husband's card with you.  How darling is this image??  I stumbled across this free digi image by accident while on Pinterest.  HERE is the link to all four adorable digi images provided by Shery K Designs.  My original plan for this card was to have it only be one layer with just the stamped image and a sentiment.  I was happy with the finished coloring product until I decided to add in some shading between the two and that's when I totally screwed it up and had to cut them out and change direction to save the image.  I'm still happy with it even though it is not what I had in mind.

As you are reading this the family and I are headed out for our annual trip to Disneyland!!  I am so excited. So I will be MIA from visiting your blogs until I return.

Have a GREAT week!!

TUX & GOWN - CARD

For those of you that follow my blog, it is pretty easy to tell that my crafting style is more "cutesy" and not really elegant.  I love stamped images that are cute, whimsicle and fun to work with.  I saw THIS card on pinterest, created by Lynn Pratt,  and decided to venture out of my comfort zone.  I thought Lynn's card was so elegant and just right for my SIL and BIL's 15th wedding anniversary.  The best part is, Lynn even has a free template on her blog to re-create this card.

The hardest part for me was to locate the right piece of paper to replicate a wedding gown.  I actually found my paper in the Christmas section of my LSS.  It's Christmas Angel Flourish from Reminisce.  Oh and the second hardest part was placing the dress on my black card base after stamping the inside, only to realize that I glued it on upside down.  Oh yeah, lots and lots of bad language followed and then a re-do of the black card base as it was destroyed in the attempted removal of the dress.  ;)

VINTAGE ANNIVERSARY - CARD

This card represents a couple of firsts for me. This is my first time trying a "joy fold" card. Actually, I have never even heard of this fold before. I know, I know, I am so behind the times. ;) Mary over at CARDZ TV has a really great tutorial on how to make this type of card. It was very easy to make and I am sure I will be making more of these in the future.

Another first, was my use of a Peggy Loves Vintage image. I don't know why I haven't worked with these images before. They are so easy to use, due to the fact they are pre-colored and they are SO CUTE. Seriously, how stinking cute is this couple?!?! I just love them and could not wait to use them on a anniversary card for a dear friend and her hubby.

Thanks for stopping by. Make sure to check back with me next Thursday when a new CRAFT US CRAZY challenge is announced.

OWL ALWAYS LOVE YOU - CARD

20 years ago today I married my high school sweetheart and my best friend! I guess the old saying is true, ""time flies when you're having fun", because it has hardly seemed like 20 years...and we sure have been having fun.

Here is a quick card that I whipped up for my sweetie in honor of our anniversary. The stamp is called "Heart Owls" from Hero Arts. I have been itching to use it since I bought it on sale several months ago. I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder to emboss the card and the patterned paper is from my scrap stash.

Tonight our darling daughters are cooking dinner for us.......which should be interesting as the oldest really doesn't cook and our 13 year old is just starting to cook a few things for herself now and then. Our oldest brought home some steaks, and when I asked her how she was going to prepare them she said, "NOT A CLUE". Yep should be interesting. ;)

TO A PERFECT PEAR - CARD

This is a card that I shamelessly scrapjacked from the April edition of "Stamp It!" magazine. Wendy Johnson actually created this card using the stamp kissing technique. Since I do not have a pear stamp I had to improvise. I also do not have any of the Cricut carts suggested for the pear shapes (thanks to all that suggested what carts to use...unfortunately I do not have any of those carts.....yet) so I hand drew one...okay actually several until I got one the way I liked it and used it for a template. I ran my yellow cardstock through the cuttlebug using the argyle embossing folder. The heart is a punch from Posh Impressions and the sentiment is a rub on. Two anniversary cards down and one more to go.

TOGETHER FOREVER - CARD

Here is a quick card that I made for one of several family members' anniversaries I have coming up. I can't remember who makes the stamp I used to make the background squares. I used SU inks (certainly celery, pretty in pink, and almost amethyst) for the background and a SU stamp from the "Fun and Fast Notes" set. This card was quick and easy to make. The only hard part was trying to line up the background squares evenly.

FOR THE LOVEBIRDS - CARD

So here is a quick little card that I whipped up for my neighbor's anniversary tomorrow. I used my new Storybook Cricut Cartridge that I received at Christmas time. I am so in love with this cart!! The lovebirds were cut at 2 1/4 " and the scalloped heart was cut from the Doodlecharms cart at 2 1/2". I threw on some heart buttons that I got on clearance at Beverly's and used a dollar stamp from Michael's for the sentiment.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY - CARD

If it's not another Bella stamp it's a hedgehog (Penny Black) stamp. I made this card for my Mom and Dad's Anniversary at the end of the week. They have been married 30 years.
