FOREVER & ALWAYS - CARD

Now that Valentine's Day is over I can share with you all the card I made for my dear husband.  How cute is this image?!?!  I swear this image is hubby and I exactly, which is why I was drawn to this stamp from Stampendous the moment I saw it at Hobby Lobby.  Oh and did you notice the smoochie lip buttons???  I love love love them and really had to scale back the number of them that I wanted to include on this card.

I hope everyone is enjoying their week thus far.  We are currently in the process of painting the interior of our home.  Which is a HUGE pain due to the vaulted ceilings.....and the fact I hate painting.  I will have to share pics next week once we're done.

A SWEET VALENTINE

A really short post today.  I wanted to share some super simple matchbook treat holders that I whipped up for some of my toddler buddies to celebrate Valentine's Day. You can find the tutorial by visiting Mickey's blog, STAMPING WITH THE STARS.

Nothing says I love you to a toddler like M&M's.  :)

YOU'RE AWESOME ALYSSA - CARD

WARNING: Proud Auntie brag moment ahead.  Last weekend my niece, Alyssa who is only 10 years old, had competition team soccer tryouts.  Per my SIL it was a very full and intense weekend of tryouts....and guess what, she made the team and was presented with an offer.  We are so proud of her and there was never any doubt in my mind that she would make it!!

To congratulate her I whipped up a very simple card letting her know just how awesome I think she is.  The cute little bear stamp is from WHIPPER SNAPPER DESIGNS and the sentiment is from LAWN FAWN

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY - CARD

Happy Monday everybody!!  I hope everyone had a restful and relaxing weekend full of crafting.

For those of you that have followed my blog for a little while, you know how much I hate trying to create boy/masculine cards....hate with a passion!!  No sparkle, no bling and well, they just aren't as cute in my opinion.  However, I am really happy with how this birthday card turned out.  How cute is this digi image from BUGABOO?!!!  I just loved coloring him in and I think he will work well for a toddler's birthday card, don't you?  The sentiment is from LAWN FAWN, a newly discovered company to me.  Love all of their stuff...LOVE!

Thanks for stopping by and as always I am looking forward to checking out every one's blogs to see what you all have been up to.

RAIN OR SHINE - CARD

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend!!  I have a quick card to share with you all.  I purchased this stamp set last weekend while at my LSS.  I could not wait to get the chance to play with it.  I'm also really digging paper piecing images lately.  Makes for a quick card.

The stamped image is Puddle Jumper from MY FAVORITE THINGS.  The patterned paper is from my scrap stash and the pearls are from K&Company.  I didn't like the look of the white pearls so I colored them with my Copics to make them match my patterned paper.  I also didn't have the right colored twine, so I colored it as well.

Well I'm off to spend more time in my craft studio.  I hope everyone finds a little time to create today as well.

LATTE FUN - CARD

I have been wanting this Latte Anya stamp from THE GREETING FARM forever.  Every time I went to order it, it was on back order.  Then I requested it for Christmas, alas on back order again.  I finally got her for my birthday several weeks ago and I LOVE her!!  She is my new favorite stamp.  I should mention that I did find her two weeks ago at my LSS, after trying for months to buy her on-line.  Go figure :P

You can find the tutorial for this k-cup holder created by Lori Tecler HERE.  The tutorial is for a 2 k-cup caddy. I wanted mine to hold 4 so I made two holders and then glued the backs together.  Here is a LINK for the  template for the card fold I used.  All of the patterned paper used for both the card and the holder is from the Paper Studio.

I am so excited for this little gift and card pairing.  I love how they turned out and can't wait to give them away!!

A HEDGEHOG BIRTHDAY - CARD

I swear spring cleaning the scrapbook room is like going on a treasure hunt.  All of the loot that I discovered that has been buried and unused is ridiculous.  I found this image from a stamp image swap that I participated in many years ago.  I literally had to blow the dust off of this image before coloring it.  I seriously wish I owned this stamp because it is a cutie.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.  All of your comments and feedback is so greatly appreciated!

SOAK UP SOME FUN - CARD

Have you ever made a card or a project that you were so tickled with that you wanted to keep it for yourself?  This was that project for me!!  However, it was for a very dear friend's birthday so I JUST had to give it to her...darn it.

The inspiration for my card came from a blog that I umm, stalk, I mean follow regularly.  Sheri of  PAPER CRAFTY'S CREATIONS is truly talented!!  She creates some of the cutest cards ever!!  When I saw THIS card on her blog, I fell in love.  I adore WHIMSIE DOODLES' images and knew that the Bubble Leah digi image would be perfect for my gift of bath goodies for my friend.

The image was colored in with Copics. I then added a little stickles to the bubbles and some Glossy Accents to the champagne glass.  I also used A LOT of bling on this card.  If you read my previous blog post, you'll know I had to make up for the masculine card that I was forced to make.

For the gift bag I just enlarged the image and printed it out twice.  Once on my white cardstock for coloring and again on my patterned paper for her towels and bath rug.  Oh and I added lots of bling to the bag as well.  I went a little bling crazy.

I seriously hope my friend likes this as she almost did not get it.  Don't forget to stop by Sheri's BLOG to check out all of the cuteness she has going on there.

BLAH BLAH BLAH - CARD

Don't you just love my post title?  That's how I feel about making masculine cards....blah blah blah.  I hate making them.  They are a total downer for me.  Boring colors, no cute stamped images, no flowers and worse yet, no BLING!  I always struggle in making them.

There's not a lot to say about this one.  A few strips of boring paper, a few metal embellishments and the sentiment.  Another masculine card down.

I think the men in my life deserve better.  Maybe they should get used to flowers and a little bling.  ;)

HONEY POP EASTER - CARD

I will start this blog post by saying, I am SO in love with the inside of this card!!  I have never seen the inside of a card done like this before.  I discovered it while on a recent trip to my LSS.  I'm sure it's old news as I am always WAY behind on what is trending in the card making/scrapbooking world.

This card was created using the INKY ANTICS HoneyPOP clear stamp collection - Basket Bunny.  The set comes with 15 clear stamps and I used 14 of them to create this card.  Every little image; the grass, the flower, the butterfly, each of the eggs, etc. is a separate stamp.  The set includes a stamp (in this case the basket) that you stamp on the Honeycomb Paper Pad to get the 3-D effect.  It was a lot of work with the stamping and cutting for a simple card with very little detail, but it was really easy to put together.

I'm thinking that I need to purchase a few more of these sets.  They would make fun cards for children, don't you think?

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY - CARD

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope everyone is well rested from their weekend.  I am bummed that our vacation is over. That means I have to cook our meals and make my own bed now.  :P  So this will be a super short post as I need to get ready for all my daycare babes to show up this morning.

Here is my final Valentine's card that I have to share.  This one was made for my oldest daughter Brittany.  It was really quick to throw together.  A few heart brads, a rub-on and a sentiment stamp is all it took.

Thanks for stopping by,

LOVE - CARD

I hope everyone is enjoying their week.  As you read this the family and I are enjoying our vacation at California Adventures in Disneyland.  Our favorite ride is the California Screamin' roller coaster.  You start off at a complete stand still, they count you down for the blast off and then you literally shoot off like a rocket.  You have to be careful to keep your head back or you can get some serious whiplash upon takeoff.  I LOVE that ride!!

The card I am sharing with you today is a Valentine's card that I made for my youngest daughter, Caitlin.  The patterned paper is from my scrap stash and the sentiment is a rub-on.

I hope everyone is enjoying their quiet Thursday....I'm sure to be screaming my head off like I am being chased by zombies as I am riding California Screamin'!!  ;)

FOREVER & ALWAYS - CARD

I know Valentine's Day is over and done with, however I have three more cards to share with you that I could not post earlier so that my husband and daughters would not see them prior to me giving them out on Valentine's.

Today, I am sharing my husband's card with you.  How darling is this image??  I stumbled across this free digi image by accident while on Pinterest.  HERE is the link to all four adorable digi images provided by Shery K Designs.  My original plan for this card was to have it only be one layer with just the stamped image and a sentiment.  I was happy with the finished coloring product until I decided to add in some shading between the two and that's when I totally screwed it up and had to cut them out and change direction to save the image.  I'm still happy with it even though it is not what I had in mind.

As you are reading this the family and I are headed out for our annual trip to Disneyland!!  I am so excited. So I will be MIA from visiting your blogs until I return.

Have a GREAT week!!

TEST TUBE TREAT HOLDERS

As promised on yesterday's blog post, here are the holders for the test tube treats.  These were really quick and easy to whip up and I only used scraps from my scrap stash to make them.  You can find the directions and the template I used for making them HERE.  The link will take you to Lisa's blog and to her most recent post, however on her left hand sidebar you will find the link to the test tube holder templates.

The images used on all three of my holders are from WHIMSIE DOODLES.  They are one of my favorite sites for digi images.  As a side note, I would like to thank my daughter, Brittany, for the photos you have seen on my blog recently.  She has volunteered herself as my project photographer.  She does a much better job at it than I do and has more patience for it.  Thanks Britt!!

Oh and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

WISH BIG - CARD

Here is card that I CASE'd from Pinterest.  I'm addicted to it, I tell you.  The original card was created by Carrie Gaskin and is way cuter!!  I kind of simplified mine as it was for a man's birthday.  So I did without the pretty designer paper background and the ribbon.  Still added the bling though.  I just can't resist the bling.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

Yes, this is a Christmas related post.....in July.....LOL!  I can't help it, I refuse to buy Christmas tags every year and I am always making the mad scramble to throw them together in the month of December.  I am actually ahead of the game this year.  I have decided to make several tags a week from now until Christmas.  Here are just a few that I have made.

The stamped image is from the Snow Friends Mini Cube from Stampendous.  This has to be one of my most used Christmas stamps.  Sigh, I still have several more tags to make......or maybe I should shorten my gift list this year.  ;)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY - CARD

Super short post for today as there is really not much to say about this card.  It was just a super simple and easy Mother's Day card that I made for all of my precious daycare babes' mommies.  This year we took black and white photos and put them all on candles for the moms' (you can see the directions and an example here of some I did several years ago) and they were a big hit.  I just can not resist projects that include all the little adorable faces I am surrounded by everyday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE LADY - CARD

As we have numerous birthdays and anniversaries that we celebrate in the month of June I am always on the lookout for simple stamps that require very little coloring to quickly throw a card together.  I found this adorable digital stamp at Cuddly Buddly Crafts.  A few scraps, some stickles, Copics and bling and this card was quickly thrown together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS - CARD

This has to be one of my all time favorite Anya stamps from The Greeting Farm.  If making a little girl card, you simply can not go wrong with Princess Anya!!

I made this card for one of my sweet daycare babes that recently turned 2 and loves princesses.  I colored the image in using Copic markers and added stickles to her gown.  I found some random chipboard stickers in my stash for her crown and wand, and added a few pink pearls.

Happy 2nd Birthday Kaili!!

CHEEKY CHAT PHONE BOOK

For those of you that have been following me for some time, I am sure it is no surprise to see a Greeting Farm stamp on this project.  I am ADDICTED to TGF and their Anya and Cheeky stamps.  I MUST own them ALL......insert evil laugh here LOL.

This is a little phone book that I purchased from Michael's and altered a bit to my liking, using the Cheeky Chat stamp.  I think she is perfect for a altered phone book! I colored her in using Copics, used a little Glossy Accents on the phone and a little bit of stickles.

I may have to make one of these for myself as this one actually went to a friend for her birthday.
