LET'S CELEBRATE - CARD

At first I will admit, I was not happy with this card.  However, it is now starting to grow on me a little and is not quite the disaster I thought it was.   I think I was most unhappy with how the coloring of this image turned out.  I haven't played with my Copics in a while, and well it shows.  I think I need more practice.

The image is a digi stamp (Chibi Cupcakes) from THE GREETING FARM that was colored (not to great, might I add) using Copic markers.  The patterned paper is from my scrap stash and the sentiment is from the Inviting stamp set by Stampin' Up.

That's it for now, I'm off to play (practice) with my Copics some more.  :)

GOT CANDY CORN? PLUS FREE DIGI HALLOWEEN STAMPS!

Just how stinking cute are these little milk cartons?? I used the Mini Milk Carton die from Stampin' Up to make about 2 dozen of these little guys for our Halloween Bash coming up next week.

I borrowed this die from a friend to complete these and now it is on my soon to purchase list. ;) I can see it being used for so many different holidays and occasions. I don't own the Big Shot but I do own the Cuttlebug and I had no problem getting this die to work with it. I would recommend purchasing the newer Cuttlebug plates that are a bit longer though. It's not necessary to own them to use this die with the Cuttlebug, but it would have made the process of cutting them out a little quicker and easier. The digi images used on these came from this blog. The best thing about these images is that they are free!! So make sure to hop on over to her blog to grab these cuties. They are adorable and perfect for a project like this.

I plan on filling them with candy corn for all of the kids, and young at heart with a sweet tooth, that attend our bash.

BIRTHDAY ROBOT - CARD

I can not believe how many birthday cards I have to make in the next several weeks. In just a few short weeks my family is attending 4 birthday parties in one weekend. Let the craziness begin!

I have been dying to use this Rockets & Sprockets paper from Recollections and the Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears since I purchased them last month. Unfortunately I did not have a stamp or a Cricut cart that would work with my newly bought goodies, so they have had to sit in my scrapbook room untouched......until I found this really cute Dustin Pike robot digi image. I think it is perfect! I colored him with my Copics and used a little Glossy Accents on his belly. Do robots have bellies? Anyways, the circle sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

One down and several more to go. Did I mention I am also attending a Cricut SWARM in 3 weeks? When am I going to find time to get ready and pack for that?

YOU'RE FINTASTIC - CARD

I made this card for a "fin-tastic" friend. I know you have all seen this stamp numerous times before from me, but it is one of my favorites. It's the Mermaid Anya from the Greeting Farm. I can't tell you who makes the patterned paper as it is from my scrap stash. Looking at this card and the papers now, it seems really bright, almost too loud, perfect for summer.

YOU MAKE ME SMILE - CARD

I just love this image from Penny Black. It's titled "Love Conquers". The little snail is simply adorable.

Gamsol and my Prisma pencils were used to color the image in. The papers used were borrowed from my scrap stash and the "for you" sentiment is a Studio G dollar stamp.

Have a great weekend everyone and HAPPY 4TH!!

BRIDAL SHOWER FAVORS

I just love the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cartridge. It is so easy to make some really quick and simple favor boxes. I made several of these for a small bridal shower for one of the gals that I play Bunco with.

I cut the boxes out at 5 1/2 ". This size is perfect to hold 4 of the Ghirardelli chocolate squares, which I tucked into a couple of circles of tulle before placing them into the boxes. The stamped image is from the Figures of Speech set from Stampin' Up. I finished them off with a few primas, mini pearls and some bling that I had laying around.

HAPPY BIRD-DAY - CARD

Here is another birthday card that I made for my BIL and another cute stamp that I do not own. If only money grew on trees....sigh. The stamp is from a Stampin' Up set called Pun Fun. I also used the Spots and Dots Cuttlebug folder. Super simple card.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Our niece, Alyssa, just recently started kindergarten. Here is the backpack and card that I made for her to celebrate this milestone. The stamped images are all from Whimsie Doodles and the patterned paper is from the SU Bella Rose collection. We placed a pack of fruit snacks and a bracelet that my daughter Brittany made for her in the little backpack. Hope everyone is having a great week!

MAKE A WISH - CARDS

Here are a couple of examples of another Whimsie Doodle digital stamp. This one is called Make a Wish. I did one in colors for a girl and one in colors for a boy.

For the first I used the Tiny Bubbles and the Spots and Dots A2 cuttlebug embossing folder to give my random circles some texture and added some random bling that I found in the $1 spot at Michael's. The pattern paper used for the second example is from the DCWV summer stack from last year. If you haven't checked out the Whimsie Doodles site yet, you really should, she has the most adorable images. I have my eye on the turtle with the bar-b-que apron on.....it would be perfect for Father's Day.

TOGETHER FOREVER - CARD

Here is a quick card that I made for one of several family members' anniversaries I have coming up. I can't remember who makes the stamp I used to make the background squares. I used SU inks (certainly celery, pretty in pink, and almost amethyst) for the background and a SU stamp from the "Fun and Fast Notes" set. This card was quick and easy to make. The only hard part was trying to line up the background squares evenly.

THANK EWE - CARD

I love the color combination of black, white and red. The patterned paper for this card is from the DCWV Glitter Stack. The stamp (I don't own it but I do have it on my wish list, I believe it's item # 417 on my list..or something like that) is from Stampin' Up's "Pun Fun" set. Each and every single one of the stamps in this set is adorable! I used my Prismas and Gamsol and the Threading Water border punch from Fiskars....oh and stickles. My "no stamp" challenge has kind of gone out the window, but you all should be proud of me...you haven't seen one Bella..yet.

EXPLOSION BOX #2

Here is a quick explosion box I made for Scott's step mom for Christmas. I am filling it up with pictures of the girls. The paper is the Bella Rose line from Stamping Up. It is the most gorgeous paper!!
The roses in the center are from the Walk in My Garden Cricut cartridge. I cut several of them out and layered them to make them pop a little.

BELLA ALTERED NOTEBOOKS

My name is Deborah....and I am a Bella-aholic. Group shouts back..."Hi Deborah". I know, I know, almost every project or card I have posted lately is Bella related. I can't help it, I try to resist, I take my other stamps out and oogle (is that even a word?) them from time to time, I even play with the other stamps a little, getting a little ink on them, even going so far as coloring them in. Then I feel guilty, like I am abandoning my dear Bellas. I am not strong and I fall off the wagon and go right back to the Bellas. I admit it, it's a sickness.

So here are a few notebooks that I finished last night, and yes they have Bellas on them. ;) This first one I made for my 4 year old niece. She picked out the paper on her own. I think it is from K&Company but I am not positive. Then she squealed when I showed her the Tinkerbella stamped image. Shhh....don't tell anyone but I have the same reaction. The primas are from the Prima Calypso tin collection, Costa Bright. The chipboard letters are from K&Company. I also added stickles to the stamped image. I made this second notebook for Caitlin. She has quite a few child safe websites that she plays on...like Webkinz and Build-a-Bear...that she needed a notebook to write down her passwords, usernames and website particulars. So I created this for her. The stamped image is Clickabella (I received her from a Bella stamped image swap...which is where most of my Bellas come from as I only own a handful...for now) and the background paper is from K&Company, called Sparkly Sweet Blue Paisley Glitter. I used the same collection of primas that were mentioned in he above notebook. I added tabs from my SU round tab punch.

CHEFABELLA NOTEBOOK II - THE SEQUEL

I'm sure you have all experienced this on more than one occasion. The more you look at a project the more and more you come up with ways you can improve upon it. It's not that I disliked how Brittany's notebook turned out. I just thought it was a little on the plain side. She also realized that she would need something a little bigger to write down recipes, tips and hints. So I made her a complete new set of notebooks. The larger one for her recipes and other things she needs to take note of and the mini one for her to keep in her purse with a list of the items she already has so she does not double up while shopping for supplies.

I bought the composition notebook at the dollar store and the smaller notebook was purchased at target for $1. I covered both with paper from Chatter Box, their Scrap Walls line, Loft Bias Plaid. I love that paper. On the larger notebook I used Creative Cafe's Classified Alphabet. You can not tell in the picture but the letters are felt and so soft. I also used Jolee's for the mini silverware attached to the primas with a little bling brad. The tabs on the larger notebook are punched with my SU Round Tab punch.

GRUMPABELLA ADDRESS BOOK

Here is a address book that I made for a friend's birthday. I found these cute little notebooks at Target. They have a elastic band that keeps it secured shut. They are so simple to make. I used the Grumpabella stamp. I confess I use this stamp the most. I just love the attitude she gives off!! I also used skittles, primas and rub-ons for the front cover and the tabs. The tabs were punched out using Stampin' Up's Round Tab punch. I hope she likes it. I actually made myself a pink one to keep all my RAK addresses in....but I am really liking the purple one better.
